Story of the Month Club is a subscription service aimed at the busy science fiction and fantasy reader! For less than the cost of a latte every month, have a short story by a bestselling or up-and-coming author delivered right to your inbox and formatted especially for your e-device. Each story will feature unique cover art, original story lines and doesn’t weigh as much as a Game of Thrones novel! We hope that you enjoy our regular contributing authors, and discover new ones. Your subscription will be renewed automatically until you request otherwise.
Do these books work on my Kindle/iPad/Android tablet/phone?
Yes! These ebooks are meant for your tablet, ebook reader or smartphone. If you have an Amazon Kindle, and Apple iPad, any Android tablet or any other ebook reader, you should be able to read the stories.
Do these stories have DRM on them?
Our stories have no DRM on them whatsoever. DRM is file protection that locks ebooks into one specific brand of ebook reader, so for example, if you buy a book from Amazon, you can only read them on Kindles or devices that support the Kindle app. The short stories from Story of the Month Club can be read on any app, reader, tablet or device that supports the following ebook file types: .epub .mobi .pdf
I like physical books. Can I get my monthly story in paperback form?
Right now – no. We are considering compiling the stories you receive throughout the year into an anthology available only to Story of the Month Club subscribers for an additional charge. If you would be interested in this, please let us know!
Do you offer refunds?
Our policy is to evaluate refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you feel that you qualify for a refund (or you just really think you should get one), please email us at stories@storyofthemonthclub.com with the reason for your refund, the email address you used subscribe and the order number from PayPal. Having all this info will help speed up the process.
What does lifetime membership get me?
In addition to only paying a one time fee, you will be able to join any three of our different genre lists as they become available.
